Cyber bullying is using the internet to bully someone online. By having a screen between you and the other person it feels easier to bully someone online than doing it face to face. Over fifty percent of teens have been bullied online and one in three teens have experienced one or more cyber threats. Cyber threats are treats used online saying something that may make you feel unsafe.
So what should you do if you get cyber bullied?
The first thing you should do is tell a teacher, parent, or any other adult you trust.
save all messages, emails, or any other platforms the messages were sent on
block the person who was sending mean messages so they will not be able to do it any more
do not respond to any hurtful messages sent, this may make the bullying worse
if you are on a social media platform make sure to report the person
